Colorado Universal Preschool Funded Spaces Available

at Exploring Minds Academy!

Funded Pre-K spaces are now available at Exploring Minds Academy through

Colorado’s Universal Pre-K (UPK) Program!

What is the Universal Pre-K (UPK) program?

The Colorado Universal Preschool Program ensures that every child who is four years of age as of October 1, 2024 receives up to 15 hours of funded preschool each week for the August to May, 2024-2025 school year. Through this program, you are empowered to choose the perfect preschool for your child and family, and Exploring Minds Academy has spaces available for families to match!

We truly believe that every child deserves a high-quality education with individualized care, and Colorado’s UPK Program makes this possible!

Exploring Minds Academy is proud to announce that we have spaces to support families and children through this program, kickstarting the road to success and encouraging a love for learning in every child.

Who is eligible for UPK funding?

All children who are four years of age as of October 1, 2024 are eligible! Children who qualify are eligible for up to 15 hours a week of partially or fully funded childcare, depending on income eligibility and other factors.

You may be eligible for additional hours and further financial support if your child is:

  • Identified as homeless and/or unhoused.

  • Multilingual.

  • Eligible for special education with an Individualized Education Program (IEP).

  • “In poverty,” defined as having a household income less than 100% of the federal poverty guidelines.

  • Currently in the custody of a state-supervised and county-administered foster care home or in non-certified kinship care (meaning they’re being cared for by a relative or kin pursuant).
